JULY 11: BRETT STURGIS
Come learn the latest Street
Dance steps with a Choreographer/Instructor who has performed all over
the world. Wear comfortable clothing
and be ready to work!!
JULY 18: FILM: LOVE & BASKETBALL
This film stars Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan. It is the story of
two next-door neighbors in Los Angeles, CA who grew up loving basketball
and eventually, each other.
RATED: PG-13
JULY 25: MAMIE DUNCAN-GIBBS
Come see what Miss Mamie
has accomplished prior to her arrival at YTI and have all of your questions
answered about the professional world of MUSICAL
THEATRE. Be prepared to participate in a “Mock
Audition.”
AUGUST 1: FILM: DREAMGIRLS
This film stars Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce
Knowles, Eddie Murphy and Loretta Devine. Based on the Broadway
musical, a trio of black female soul singers crosses over to the pop
charts in the early 1960’s.
RATED: PG-13
AUGUST 8: AIYSHA COOPER
Come work out with Street Dance Instructor Aiysha, and learn some great,
energetic choreography. She grew up studying at YTI and has had
the opportunity to study with some of the best choreographers in the
tri-state area, and work with youth throughout NY State.
AUGUST 15 & 22: STANLEY (STAN) HART
This Emmy Award
Winner has written for stage, screen and television for over 40 years. He has numerous credits and is coming to YTI
to share his knowledge and experience with our youth as well as our seniors. Be
prepared to work on scenes, improvisations and monologues. Only
those students who are serious about acting should attend.
